Maleic anhydride, also known as dehydrated malic anhydride; molecular formula: C4H203;
molecular weight: 98.058;

Maleic anhydride is a widely used basic organic chemicals, and is the third largest anhydride chemicals in the world after acetic anhydride and phthalic anhydride.

Maleic anhydride is mainly used to produce unsaturated polyester resin (UPR) and alkyd resin. In addition, a series of chemicals such as 1,4-butanediol (BOD), γ-butyrolactone (GBL), tetrahydrofuran (THF), maleic acid, fumaric acid and tetrahydroanhydride can be produced from maleic anhydride, and are widely used in pesticides, pharmaceuticals, coatings, inks, lubricant additives, paper chemicals, textile finishing agents, food additives and surfactants.

Our Method for producing of maleic anhydride is gas phase oxidation
Maleic anhydride is produced by gas phase oxidation of n-butane, which converts the methyl group to a carboxylate and dehydrogenates the backbone. The selectivity of the process reflects the robustness of maleic anhydride and its conjugated double bond system
